I went into a bead store in brightion today looking for things for my hair.

after browsing for while I only found some skulls so I went to the counter and asked if they carried pentagram beads, the reply was " We don't carry that kind of thing here" in a very snotty tone. Oddly I was not offended, then when I made my purchase she decided to photo copy my ID & card. Now I'm bugged but not mad and in the sweetest voice she muster she asked "Would you like to join our points saver club?" Thats when I got pissed. I guess a large silver purchase changes her tune.

now that I'm hyper mad I suggest that if you go to this anti any religion other than Christianity bead store you do it before I burn it down.

That's total shit for a cashier to have that attitude. I mean wtf ? A customer is a customer and money is money. What does it matter if you wanted an item they didn't carry. All she had to say was no, sorry. It's just like Frank Zappa said ~"there's no shortage of ignorance in America." :doh

Exactly what was offensive? Where does it say a privatly run business can't have a religious view? Where is there seperation of Church and Retail Outlet? The Cashier has a right to her views. Just as you have the right to shop somewhere else.

I have personally "walked" a man out of my store for wearing Nazi symbols all over his coat. The man is welcome in my store. His political views are not. I explained that to him.. in as friendly terms as I could given the fact that I was backing him out the door and very much in his face. He didn't get pissed, he didn't get a lawyer. He took the offensive jacket off and came back in the store.

You should have been offended when she photo copied your Card. It's not actually legal. My store just got busted with fines because our credit card machine printed the full card number rather than just the last 4 digits.

That store sells beads? and the clerk photocopies your Id and Card?! Thats some seriously questionable and suspicious acitivities. The only time I've ever had that happen is when I bought a new car, and didn't photocopy my card, just my drivers license.

I have to agree with the above posted views about photo copying your ID and card. If you were writing a check, I could *maybe* see doing your ID but not anything more than that.

As for the cashier's attitude, was it an actual Christian store? Or was it a Pagan store? Or ?

Copied your ID? Ugh. Demand she hand over the photocopy! If not, call the police! Remember, they usually side with the person who makes the phone call.

Yeah, this is some McCarhty-ism type profiling listing bullshit. Even when writing a personal check, a clerk can only"visually verify" your personal info, not reproduce it.

her religious view point is not what got me upset ultimately as I said it was the backpedaling after she noticed how much I was spending every thing prior just added icing. straight up flat out I did nothing offensive I wore nothing offensive and I spoke in a plain inquiring tone she should have either been polite from the start or rude to the very end.

You know, it is possible that she realized that she showed more of her feelings than she wanted to. I deal with people every day, sometimes, my reactions are a bit more... um.. well, rude than need be. Normally I realize it a bit too late and try to change my tune.

I could almost understand if it was a paper check...god knows how many of those can pogo down the street.
