Rozzlyn Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 OK, I write a lot of parody lyrics to overplayed Goth and proto-Goth songs (like stuff by The Rolling Stones and The Who) and decided that I need a band to go with this, cos they actually aren't too bad. Some of my favourites are on my webshite. Right now, all I do is sing and "fake it" on guitar (like, I can noodle out the first few bars of non-Eileen Dexys Midnight Runners' songs) so I'm seeking guitar(s), bassist and a drummer willing to dress up "like Dr Avalanche" on stage. This band is going to be a complete joke and may not even get a gig, but if we can record some stuff, I have one or two friends willing to play it on Internet radio. Anybody willing to join who has practise space (or is just willing to offer us practise space for free or for beer) can also feel free to contact me. Suggested name for this band is "Cryptie's Dead Girlfriend" -- and if you don't get why that's funny, you're just not cool enough for this band.
Daniel Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 About the best I could contribute is some cheesy EBM and future pop synthlines and beats... but I assume anyone that knows how to commandeer the presets on some soft synth programs can handle that themselves. I have too many parody bands going on now as it is!

And I get the name, so maybe I should just be the bands tour manager.
Brenda Starrr Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 I could send you my parody of David Lee Roth's "Just a Gigolo". It's called "Just a Juggalo".
soothsayer Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 There she goes again with that DLR song. :laughing
