Draco1958 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Wish I could help but currently have no car, 1 needs a radiator, another needs a timing chain. Otherwise I'd offer to take you someplace to get you out of the house.
CandyQuackenbush Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Sometimes you need to realize that as long as you live under your mother's roof, you have to do by her rules. Until you're 18, you really have no say due to the fact that you are still a minor.

phee Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 I was the younger of my siblings... while my brother was told "You shouldn't be out that late!!!" I was told "Why are you here? go sleep at your GF"
CandyQuackenbush Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 well i dont live with my mom i live with my dad...and my mom and dad try to keep me locked up ...because i dont have a car i need one You don't live with them? Then how are the controling you? You are confusing me.
Onyx Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 well i dont live with my mom i live with my dad...and my mom and dad try to keep me locked up ...because i dont have a car i need one Feeling trapped is really a hard thing to go through. I remember that time in my life, old enough to drive but no car yet, no way to get out. First step - find a job (not easy I know, but I found one as a teenager in the really bad recession in the 70s. If you are persistent you'll probably be successful. Are you within walking distance of any place you can look for work?
Steven Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 nothing kept me locked up when I was a kid.....I took the bus, hitched rides from girls, hitch-hiked (DONT), rode a bike, borrowed a slowped, hoofed it, whatever I made it all up as i went. And like Onyx said - get yourself indipendent - I was working at a very young age and while its true that I bounced from couch to couch and home to home (and lived in a playhouse) I kept moving along.... ....but the thing is Indipendence and respect have to be earned, you cant just demand it because you FEEL like you deserve it, that never works. i did what I wanted as a kid - but I was far far far from respectable. And even when your 18 - on paper your an adult but that means nothing - can you survive on your own? If you cant then your automatically in a place where you have to yeild to certain rules, thats just life. it doesent change much when you get older trust me.....just the names and scenarios change..... if you dont like your life babe - dont waste your time trying to escape it - take hold of it and start making decisions that give you growing levels of control.

littlepinkkitty Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 when i was your age my mom didnt care what i did. But i still remember my teen days as being pretty misreable. I felt trapped because i didnt have a license or a car till i was 18. If my mom would try to keep me in (which rarely happened) I would sneak out my window. When i got a boyfriend with a car it was good. But i understand how you feel. I remember a lot of saturday nights being stuck at home because noone could come get me. But that will end soon. Let me tell you though i used to think that getting older would fix my problems but no. Now i have bosses and professors telling me what to do and deadlines to make. I have to pay for stuff that i never had to worry about. its a wake up call. In five years from now you will wish you could be stuck home.
