saechalyn Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I'm looking for recommendations for a hair salon- I live in Ypsi but anywhere in the metro Detroit area is fine. Usually I go to the Aveda institute and they do a decent job, but I need to make some changes and I need someone who really knows what they are doing. Thanks in advance!
LuluVox Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 You could try the Aveda institute's "real" salon counterpart, the Exchange...I have yet to go, but it looks swanky enough! It's just on Liberty, in that building down from Necto, where Harry's Army Surplus used be be.
Fierce Critter Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I've been going to Tres Eleve on Fort Street in Wyandotte. They're the ones who did my haircolor and recent trim. They're an Aveda salon, methinks, if that is important to you.
CandyQuackenbush Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 The only person I go to is my aunt, she's been doing this for over 10 years, but she lives in Chesterfield... Phooie
Shade Everdark Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I recommend Thru Luna's Eyes. They've never done me wrong. ...of course, they're in Ferndale.
Gypsyflamme Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I also recommend thru Luna's eyes. They always do a fabulous job pn mine and my friend's hair, and they are not very expensive. I also like to go there cuz the girls are all fabulously freaky!!! thru luna's eyes
Nienna Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I recommend Thru Luna's Eyes. They've never done me wrong. ...of course, they're in Ferndale. This is a third reccomendation for Through Luna's Eyes. Both of my hot short hair cuts came from there, and they got the black out!!
littlepinkkitty Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 i go to salon tru in berkley and they use aveda products...they makes me look gooood!
Destroit Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I need hair...wrong thread? You get me some hair and I'll get you your salon...
saechalyn Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks people. I'm thinking I may make the trek to thru luna's eyes. Hopefully they will help me come up with something less boring than what I've got but still acceptable for work.
LuluVox Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I've been thinking about trying Thru Luna's Eyes! I would like some kind of color put under my blackness in the front, and am kind of afraid to let the Aveda kids do it. If you schedule an appointment, let me know and maybe I can schedule something for around the same time! :D
