Your funny. But, yah....I had goats...believe me they are a big PAIN IN THE ASS and tormenting them was fun.

<-reallio, trulio, laughing out loud.

I LOVE goats. We almost got one when we lived in NC. Once we're living up north,* we plan to have a couple.

*in that world known as "dream onsville"

Think twice. They ate the top of my car, stood on the hood and jumped up and down denting it while I was at work...tipped over the water everyday.....ate the roof of their shack......

I ate them in the end......heh they were darn tasty too.

Oh and they used to head butt me when I went in to feed them, I would bend over to put grain in the trough and bump! Hard too. Damn goats.

Wow - weird!

I was so curious why they aren't extinct since you'd think they'd get eaten when they faint, but apparently they don't exist that way in the wild. It only happens with this certain kind of domestic goat and it actually is a genetic abnormality.

They are also used as bait to keep wolves from eating domestic sheep (they faint, the wolf eats them instead).

Kinda icky - poor goat!

It may be an abnormality but....they look like they have instant Rigor mortis which would make me lose my appetite lol

I love goats, & will definitely have a few (either Nubians or Toggenburgs) if I ever own a big enough spread. Goats are wise beasts like cats & crows. A friend of mine (now married to my first hubby) has goats, I lived with her for a while and it was my job to take care of them- water them, let them out to browse in the swamp, work the dog to bring them in, etc. We got along just fine. They were kept penned when they weren't out browsing... if they wandered back into the yard the dogs would chase them either back to the swamp or into their enclosure... so there was no problem with them getting into things they shouldn't have. They will nibble on any loose clothing, so the gypsy queen look is best not worn into the goat pen! My friend doesn't have a herd dog these days, but she is much better off $wise and can buy enough feed that the goaties don't need to browse.

And yeah, they're pretty tasty... Vicki's were kind of tough due to their diet, but I always pick up some goat at the Gratiot Market when I'm down in the big city. Goat chops, mmmm!

AFA the fainting goats, yeah, it's a genetic thing, kind of like a seizure disorder. Humans are so wonderful- "hey, a debilitating neurological defect- let's breed for it! How funny!"
