Fierce Critter Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Because I am bored, and because I am trying to put-off cleaning this godforsaken bedroom so I can set up my new computer desk, I am starting this thread to share some of the crazy places they send Jon to work. Today, Jon is in, I believe Onyx's neighborhood, Grand Rapids. Yesterday he was in Sturgis:
Onyx Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Cool Grand Rapids is actually about 45 minutes away from me. I'm way over here close to the beach, almost in Lake Michigan. That's nice that he gets a change of scenery though. Definitely better than his previous territory!
bav Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I grew up just down the road from Sturgis. I don't envy him having to go any town along US-12 .

Onyx Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Spring Lake/Grand Haven area? Yep! Used to live in Spring Lake but now I'm in Grand Haven. Lake effect snow, seagulls, drawbridges, tall ships, all that stuff.
Der Nister Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I'm way over here close to the beach, almost in Lake Michigan. Onyx's home.
Onyx Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 heh heh. Actually to get *that* close to the lake I'd need to add a whole lotta zeros to my bank account! It's incredible what lakefront property costs. I'm within walking distance of Lake Michigan beach though, takes about 15 minutes to walk over there.
Fierce Critter Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 Tomorrow, he's going to Hillsdale. If you look at the second map posted above, it's a little bit east of where he was today. He got home at 8:30 today. I hope he doesn't have to work so late tomorrow. A lot of that was drive time.
creatureofthenyte Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 at least he doesn't have to drive out here lol , That would take abit longer.
Fierce Critter Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 Yeah. No kidding. Thusfar, the Grand Rapids run has been the furthest. Though he has been down into Ohio. I forget how far, but it wasn't a 2-3 hour drive.
creatureofthenyte Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 well it takes aboot 13 hrs to get here, depending on the route taken, and traffic/weather conditions.
Fierce Critter Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 Suck. He was busy all day yesterday (Saturday), then took himself out to Rochester Hills to go to a Christmas party, which he stayed all night, not getting home until 7:30 a.m. Didn't go to sleep because he is making our family's gifts, and we celebrate on the Eve, and he had a lot to finish. Then, he got a call to go out to Harper Hospital aroun 8:30. I hope he just drops asleep when he gets home. He's going to need it desperately.
