As much an artifact as book, The Tales of Beedle The Bard is hand-written (157 pages) and hand-illustrated by J.K. Rowling. This is a "fictional" book , mentioned within the final book of the harry potter series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Only 7 copies exist, all handmade by Rowling.

It contains 5 stories:

The Wizard and the Hopping Pot

The Fountain of Fair Fortune

The Warlock's Hairy Heart

Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump

The Tale of the Three Brothers

Tons of details (descriptions, video, pictures) :

Hey its only like $1,000,000+.

I really like "quality" books/bindings and such, especially if they have some sort of limited edition type thing. I don't mean the uber-expensive stuff like this, just the various "nicely bound" stuff. Not that i actually HAVE any of them (even if they only cost say $60) always seemed like i could never justify the expense, even on stuff i really really like.

I do spend TONs of time on amazon.com though. Just browsing. I really like the long lists of reviews and suggested reading lists they have there. The web of interconnected subjects, especially the non-fiction stuff is great. I happened upon this and it looked interesting.

As hunhee mentioned above, its fairly well known to some of my friends (seems like a ton of them are into harry potter) that i've not actually read the books or seen the movies, i do find the "unverise" interesting though. I just have so many other things to get read/viewed that this always is a low priority.
