Homicidalheathen Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Maybe he will do a disappearing act.....he owns a Island after all...... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,303546,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,304900,00.html Got to see him a long time ago......think it was in the 90's at the Fox. It was a pretty good show.
Destroit Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The way he did it too is so elaborate. I wouldn't put it past the guy quite honestly.
n0Mad Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 He's getting old. Blaine's an idiot, Angel is a freak ... we need a good magician to entertain us like Copperfield used to. If Lance Burton could lay off the coke I'd vote for him. Maybe somebody new though. It'd be nice. Like Derren Brown but less British. lol
Homicidalheathen Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 Starpulse Entertainment News Blog http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/20..._of_another_att David Copperfield Accused Of Another Attack Magician David Copperfield once tried to force himself on a woman in the back of his limousine, his former chauffeur claims. John St. John has told the National Enquirer the incident took place in Ottawa, Canada in 1996, while Copperfield, 51, was engaged to Claudia Schiffer. St. John was ordered to pick up the woman - a Schiffer lookalike - and then drive around the city while Copperfield attempted to seduce her. He tells the tabloid, "I know when someone is having consensual sex in my limousine, but what was going on this time was different. They were struggling and I heard raised voices. I could hear the girl saying: 'No. Get off me' and 'Stop'. It was the first time as a driver that I didn't know what to do. I am a father of three daughters and I knew I would be kissing my career goodbye by dragging Copperfield out of the car - but I thought I had no other option. Just then I heard David call me on the intercom saying: 'Take me back.'" Copperfield's representatives have described St.John's claims as "fiction" but they come at the same time a U.S. grand jury is investigating the star for the alleged rape of a 21-year-old woman in the Bahamas in July. St. John has offered to testify against the illusionist in court if asked to recount his claims. (This news article provided by World Entertainment News Netw
sass_in_the_pants Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Dude, I went to see one of his shows a few years back. He struck me as creepy old man...and we were at the Saturday 3 pm show. There were children! And he was like...being lewd....at 3 pm on a Saturday! Who's lewd at 3 pm on a Saturday? Tuesday at 3 pm, lewd is fine, as is Wednesday at 10 am and anytime on Friday after 8 pm, but 3 pm on Saturday? Ick! He did this trick where he switched the panties of two girls from the audience and he was spending a little TOO much time on that trick for me to think he was anything but icky.
jadnifer Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 That trick would be kinda disgusting anyway. I wouldnt want some other girl's panties on me. I certainly wouldnt want mine back after the trick either. NO WAY!

Troy Spiral (13) Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Doing some homework before i run my mouth .... Lately the FBI has been trying to fairly careful about its image. In that story (and others) , it says they raided a warehouse were he stores some of his stuff. But, it does seem quite a bit more serious than just some random accusation. What the hell he needs to be "raping" some girl for i dunno. Plenty of ass to be had out there, especially for rich, well known, celebrities. I guess if you have everything, the only things left are things your not supposed to have. ...and yeah "me too" on the "I saw him back in the day...". I think it was before they remodeled the fox, must have been the fisher. I think i have an autographed book or something buried someplace. I was really big into him at the time, but later on i started favoring less flashy-showman type magic. With all the smoke and lights and rock & roll music its kind of meaningless from a "whoa howed they do that" perspective. They it could be doing anything with all the stage props and a stage full of trap doors and other garbage. I like the more close-up , well-lit , clear to see type stuff.
jadnifer Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Cher: Great minds think alike. Troy: I agree with you that a lot of times when people are famous they think they can have whatever they want, even in reality, that isnt what is the truth. I used to be absolutely fascinated by him. I thought that he was SO cool. He still does good work from what I hear but I havent seen him on TV in forever. I also like the less known magicians because of the fact that it is less showy and you can actually watch what they are doing so they arent trying to pull something over your head. A lot of what you said, just reiterating, to further the point.

Mac King. Great magician, kinda funny in a dorky sorta way, and just a real all around nice guy. Probably the best performer in Vegas though hardly anyone has heard of him. I think he likes it that way though.

n0Mad Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Has he ever been on TV or does he just perform in Vegas? He's been in a couple of those "World's Greatest Magic" TV shows. Other less known magicians to check out if you ever get the chance: Michael Ammar, Bob Sheets, and Steve Bergatze. I think they're all out in LA, at least I know the first two are. The first two have also been on one or two Travel Chanel magic specials.

n0Mad Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 yeah I know...but thanks for the info.... Back to the regularly scheduled topic. I was doing the Off Topic to myself. After all, I'm the one who spent this whole thread talking about various magicians and never once mentioned the rape case. Well, except for just now when I did in the previous sentence.
