jadnifer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I have always put people before myself. I guess that could be considered a character flaw, if it is, its not going to change.
Kit Kat P Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 stubbornness, a sarcastic bite that most can't handle, and an inability to not let my family get to me
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 That I give people way too many chances. They always come back to bite me in the end.
Steven Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I hate structure, although I badly need it. I will pour myself into someone until Ive poured myself out, which is over pouring and makes me worthless. I lean on my natural gifts too often as opposed to being disciplined which bites me and others in the ass because in reality its lazy I have a hard time walking away from a fight once Im in it - I love people very deeply but if I'm in actual fight mode I am nearly impossible to contain I have a general "oh walk it off allready" attitude toward other people's pain at times I have a big fear of containment of expression - it is my number one fear by far.
CandyQuackenbush Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I hate structure, although I badly need it. Military will do that to you. I have a general "oh walk it off allready" attitude toward other people's pain at times Drink water drive on?
xbittergracex Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Oh I could post 1,000 things here....but lucky for you I won't. My biggest flaws that come to mind first.... 1. I am WAY to critical on myself and I battle with confidence and self-image problems on a daily...no hourly...basis. 2. I have this "I'm never enough" complex. 3. I'm REALLY emotional, and I hate it. I guess that pretty much covers most of them. All the others are probably rooted in one of those 3.

Dont worry Im not Emo guys. I just have strong emotions and Im not afraid to show them.
TygerLili Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 So many to pick from. 1. Shyness, especially in an enviroment where I don't know many people. I envy those who can just walk up to anyone and start a conversation. I'm working on this one, but I revert back to extreme shyness when I feel uncomfortable. 2. Stubborness, I hate admitting I'm wrong, and being around someone else who also won't admit when they're wrong makes me 10 times more stubborn. 3. Never wanting to trust anyone. Again I've worked on this one a lot in the last 4 or 5 years. I also tend to make snap judgements. 4. Insecurity, I've all but elimitated this one, and I don't think I come off as insecure most of the time, but in weak moments it creeps in and, of all my character flaws, I truly hate this one, even in small doses. 5. Having very high expectations for everything and everyone. That's a good start.
Msterbeau Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Wanting to destroy things that cause me physical pain. Especially in the head. Don't hit me in the head unless you want to feel pain. Rubbing my head... on the other hand, usually causes a completely different reaction.
torn asunder Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 umm, is this "self-defined" flaws, or "culturally-defined" flaws? mine would be different for each...
Msterbeau Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 umm, is this "self-defined" flaws, or "culturally-defined" flaws? mine would be different for each... List em both. I'm curious to see the difference.
torn asunder Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 List em both. I'm curious to see the difference. to list only one each - (i'm sure i could come up with a couple more easily...) 1) self-defined - inability to follow through with my goals 2) cultural/societal - no committment/loyalty to/ dissasociation with my family. take 'em or leave 'em, just like everyone else. (in general)
Der Nister Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Giving people more chances than they deserve. I'm not a pushover in the least but - I try to understand that things happen that can't be avoided. Well, that the short of it anyway.
