Firefighters Battle Blaze at the Leland

It didn't sound like the fire actually got that big; it was localized to the sixth floor when the firefighters put it out, from what I gathered from the story, but jeez. In a deathtrap like that, how much would it really take for a fire to spread and gut the place?

It's a very old buliding, and nice dry wood, perfect for a nice hot fire on a cold winter night.

Naturally they only showed the "good side" of the buliding.

It seems rather callous, hoping for someone's home to burn. Perhaps, if all the residents found alternate dwellings, and it was... I dunno, a training operation for the fire department, a mid-winter inferno might be a spectacle I would enjoy.

Still, not at the cost of someone's home.
