I actually had someone have the nerve to tell me that the anime series, Fooly Cooly has no plot what-so-ever and is silly nonsence. BAH! Some anime watcher he is, if he knew any better he would know that FLCL easily has one of the deepest plots known to anime. It is micro level of human observations, interactions, reactions, and behavior as what SE: Lain is to the macro of everything (i.e. the universe, time/space, self identity, god, etc)

Basically, it amazes me, the people that give up on something just because they can't figure out the little analytical metaphors and take it for purely face value. It's almost like people that take religious text word for damn word without actually interpreting the meaning and what might be behind it as opposed what it seems to be.
