Quote: For the first time, the Blast will have a winter wine tasting and a two-night preview of Movement ’08: Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival. It will also host a free film festival showcasing local filmmakers, as well as movies about metro Detroit and Michigan.

Jason Huvaere, producer of Movement ’08, sees the Blast as another opportunity to “showcase electronic music downtown.” He added that his nephew looks forward to the Blast all winter and didn’t think the current text message scandal wouldn’t affect people’s inclination to come down to Detroit for the Blast.
