i thought that was only to fill in for the rest of their european tour.

Yeah he spent a year with them filling in for Clas who is to become a father and has officially left the band, but now they've made hima full time member.

Daniel Myer had the following to say to Release magazine in December - "I have already written three tracks that Eskil liked, so we have done some vocal demos together."

Joakim explains further in issue 60 of Side-Line: "He is a fantastically creative person and a versatile musician, he has a lot of integrity and a constant drive to explore new things. It felt natural to ask him if he would consider taking Clas' place and we were honoured that he accepted. We share a lot of common ground."

Covenant enters the studio this month with Myer fully involved in the song writing for the forthcoming album.

Covenants last album sucked donkey... and as you say, Myer is a genius... we will see but I am optimistic
