Okay, so I started this book yesterday, and so far it seems like a breeze to read. Douglas Adams is such a treat for me to read. I can't believe I haven't read EVERYTHING Douglas Adams yet. I guess I just get so many books on my list some things, no matter how great, seem to get pushed back.

I haven't really gotten far enough into the book to comment yet.

I figured there will be spoilers for those of you who haven't gotten as far (I will keep the topic on what chaps we're at on the topic line), so if you don't want to know what happens I suggest you either read up to where we are, or you don't read this topic till you're caught up to us, some people don't mind spoilers, they'll read anyway. That's fine as well.

I'm that type of person, I don't mind so called "spoilers" because to me reading is a journey, I wanna know everything that happened to get to that point. Not everyone is like that, and that's okay too. :)

Okay, so like.. umm.. read already!

Sorry for the delay in responding. I finished it this weekend. I like the way he builds different stories together and then ties them together. Like revealing all the aspects of a ribbon and then showing you the finished braid, followed by the clothing it's attached to. Then only drawback that I have w/ his short books is that I find myself skimming past the boring parts and then they go by too fast and I'm left there after a bit holding the book wanting a bit more.

Meh... the Internet ate my response. The many threads-then one thing is something Steven King seems to like to do also. (although i've not read a king novel in like 8 years) Most all the nonfiction writers i seem to read are well-read Adams fans. I cant read a book these days (Mostly history/philosophy/religion/science-ish) without a stray adams reference, including dirk.

Hello, Michael? Yes, it’s Susan. Susan Way. You said I should call you if I was free this evening and I said I’d rather be dead in a ditch, remember? Well, I suddenly discover that I am free, absolutely, completely and utterly free, and there isn’t a decent ditch for miles around.
