Human beings can make money off of anything. Global warming is a venture capitalist's dream come true.

I'm not quite following what you're saying in context of this guy's (in the video) thoughts. Could you elaborate?

Suggesting that taking action against global warming MUST mean harm to the economy is not what MUST happen.

People can get RICH off of creating a carbon free economy. Indeed, the WORLD can become rich from getting off of carbon.

It is a FIFTH possibility.

First of all i would like to say... "We need more teachers like him" Wow.

I do agree with him to a great extant and you can file me in the skeptic column. I do think global warming is happening, I don't think it's human caused. I do see a great deal of people that just turn their back on the subject and that bothers me. the people I speak of are not just on the skeptic side either. An example is trees. We could offset a great deal of our carbon output by cutting down 50-75% of the worlds old growth trees and replanting young trees. Trees are carbon "batteries". As long as we don't burn them after we cut them down the carbon is trapped in a solid form. Young trees absorb carbon at a thousand fold that of old growth trees. I really don't see people moving on that though. This idea was put forth by the founder of Greenpeace btw, don't get mad at me.
