Anyone Gnostic

I am reading the deffinition....in 'the Religeon book' and so far I agree with the theory except I don't buy that there were 365 divine beings and that the material world was born out of the one called wisdom trying her hand at creation. I do believe the material world is the 'sin' and we are trapped in it to learn 'enlightenment' but not that the heavenly realms are barred by an evil power that tries to keep us from it. Can anyone shine any light on the Gnostic system of belief for me or is this book pretty accurate......? And are any of you considered Gnostic? thanks.

the problem with Gnostic principles is that there are many, from various root sources, not just one foundational source....so you have to eany meany miny moe what appeals to you.
