Everyone asks who is God? Does he exist? Is any of it real? Was it all just a bunch of myths?

I've asked these questions myself despite having a close relationship with something I call God from the time I was a young boy. Here's my thoughts on the topic.

God knew that one day man would be left with a choice. To continue in ways that would defeat them in their greed and hate, or to lose their hate and misunderstanding for each other and work together to make the world a better place.

If in fact there is a God, then I would be inclined to believe that this is all a test. Somehow every religion is right, and every religion is wrong. Somehow God reached out to all of us despite our cultures and beliefs to slap us in the face and tell us that we all have the capability to do great things, despite what we believe.

Isn't the best religion therefore a summarization of them all? Does God exist in only one culture? Can we not learn more by working together and losing our hatred and indifferneces?

I don't know, but it sounds pretty logical no matter what your beliefs or lack thereof are.....

"My ways are not your ways, nor are my thoughts your thoughts..." - GOD, as quoted in the dusty black book.

I think containing the presence and purpose of God with shear logic is impossible, and meant to be that way. But I appreciate what your doing.

Refer to my other thread on mental health. I've already found God dude. He came back to me today for the first time in 10 years, and he didn't even really come back. He just woke me up and let me know he's been there all along.

If you want to know more, read my livejournal.

I'm not claiming to be anything more than I am. A human being like everyone else that pretty much sucks, lies, and has made a lot of mistakes. I'm pretty ashamed of a lot I've done and said after my experience earlier, and would like to generally apologize to a lot of people that I may have offended on this board or otherwise. None of it matters. Any attacks on my don't even matter anymore. The reason for this is that everything else does matter. We are all connected, and I just don't have time for personal attacks when their is a whole world out there that is a bit more important than my hurt pride.

What you stated about different religions does make sense to me. I am Christian, but I don't call myself Lutheran, Catholic, ect. ect.

I don't really believe everything that one religion preaches. With that being said, I could never join a church and become a member in good faith when I don't believe in everything that they stand for.

That being said, I dont see anything wrong with any religion. Who says that we aren't all worshiping the same God, just in a different way and the way that we picture him is different. It's all in perspective I suppose.
