Scales Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Interesting... If this could be hooked up to a robot I could beat the crap out of people with my mind.
Troy Spiral (13) Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I've had my hopes up about this kind of stuff for like 15 years (along with Virtual Reality which STILL hasn't materialized) hopefully one day. *sniffles*
jadnifer Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Looks awesome. But is it safe? If it runs like an EEG, is it really that safe to be using by yourself? I know that you dont have to use the gel and stuff, I just don't know how comfy I am with it. I think that I would have to see it being used before I would purchase something like this. I wonder when they will be released?
Slept with ghost Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I think Im going to pass on this playing with a wireless controller already makes me feel like its pulling me away from the game playing experience. So playing with no controller at all doesn't intrest me.

So playing with no controller at all doesn't intrest me. Really? Wow, first time i ever heard that. I belive you, i'm just having a hard time picturing how more seemless tech would feel like its pulling you away rather than drawing in. *thinks* The lack of wires and such is almost universally pointed to as a MORE immersive experience rather than a less immersive experience. That is one of the reasons they pushed the slightly more expensive tech to become "standard" faster than it might have otherwise. Playing the games at Walt Disney Worlds "Disney Quest" theme park (which are all variations on the virtual reality "wireless" type experience) it defiantly was a lot more like being "inside" the game rather than just viewing it as little people in a box.
