erm?

mine have a neon green line running through them... like a ring, only not so circular.... you'd have to see it in person.. my eyes are down right weird! I have been asked if iwear contacts. i wish i could get a REALLY good pic of them...

my family's eye color history, as I know it:

Mine: Hazel

Mom's: green

her older sister:dark gray

her younger sister: crystal blue

her mother: blue

her father:gray

Dad's: Dark brown

his mother's:light brown

his father's:unknown (judging from what dad is mixed with, i'd say anywhere between dark brown to light brown, but that's just a guess)

Erm...? I guess you're a bigger mutant than normal blue eyed people . You know, it's like you have videlligo (sp?) of the eyes or something...? I really don't know, I'm messing around.

I saw this article and felt dirty. Why? Because Raven has blue eyes  So everytime we get nasty...well I guess you get what I'm getting at.

When I was in high school, I always loved science class, and when we did the little bit that we did on genetics, I thought it was fascinating. Looking at my own family, and just taking eye color, I thought this was interesting:

I have green eyes.

My mother has blue eyes and my father has brown eyes.

My maternal grandmother had brown eyes, my maternal grandfather had blue eyes.

Both my paternal grandparents and great-grandparents had brown eyes.

My maternal grandfather had brown eyes, my maternal grandmother had green eyes.

You have 3 sets of grandparents? I'm guessing the last set was great-grandparents.

Yeah, genetics was my favorite part of high school science by far. I actually wanted to go into genetic counselling at one point.

I meant to type great grandparents..I was tired. i'll go fix it..thanks

This is a picture of my right eye, notice the blue color on the outside, the green and then the redish-brown... when they are brown, the thin green line is still there

makes sense

my moms side everyone has brown eyes

my dad has hazel eyes

my sisters both have dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin

me and my brother are both naturally ginger(altho my natural color has changed to blonde as ive gotten older), pale and blue-green eyed

funny thing is, no one on my dads side is ginger there are two blondes but thats it...

on my mom's side she had two distant cousins and a great great uncle that were gingers

looking at me youd never know i was 45% italian

looking at my sisters youd never know they were 45% irish

=P

blonds and dark brown haird ppl mixing has been known to spit out gingers....

My hair is normally dark brown... when the sun hits it, it look kinda maroon....

my mom has like a greyish brown hair and her side of the family is German, tho my grand mother is naturally black hair, and blue eyes! she dyes her hair blond...), and my dad's mixed(white, Indian-that with feathers, not the dot-, and black... how much of each is unknown...), and has super curly black hair.... I have a very pale olive complexion... I have been asked so many times if I have in contacts.. this is no lie, my eyes are normally a deep red color, when I wear darker colors.... so anyways... with that gene pool, you'd never know it, by looking at me!! I'm a mutt! lmao

Ok, as I'm growing older, my eyes are turning more blue. It's very odd.

Since we are posting pics of eyeballs:

i am cursed with short sightedness and its not often that people see me without glases on, many who have have instantly had to coment on how blue my eyes are, and tbh the brown has faded over the years, the remnants of that larger spot are all that remains which was a deep hazel, and the two barely noticable spots are gone. appologies to the tired eyes,so may i present!

You're a ginger??? The South Park episode with Gingers was on again last night. I love that episode.

I really like that people are posting pics of their eyeballs.

Funny thing...My grandparents both have blue eyes, which would mean that ALL of their children would then have blue eyes, right? Mmmm..not quite, my aunt has brown. So she asked Guy, my geneticist husband, how all that nonsense could happen, and he said that eye color is not straightforward and mutations are fairly common (all of you green line and speckled people would probably be one of these mutations) and my aunt wouldn't shut up about how Guy called her a mutant and I was like 'Couldn't you have come up with another explanation?' and he said 'The only other explanation involves the mailman. I think I chose the better one.'

I agreed.

My sister and I, along with my husband and all of his brothers, all have brown eyes.

All of our children, their are six among us, have blue eyes.

Hmm... I would post my eyes here, but the only camera I have is a rather old 3.1 megapixel without a zoom function.

I will ask a friend to do it for me at the next party. Do any of you enjoy tall men with blue eyes the color of the ocean after a storm?

Posted

mine doesn't have a zoom.. its a standard web camera... i can adjust the picture to sharpen the image, once i get the lens in close.... had to shine a light on it too.... mini flash light in one hand, cam in the other.... i'm so happy that i has t button on the top to take pictures, instead of using the mouse to click the button on the window.... anyways... yeah, I'm sure that someone can take the pic for you. good luck... and if you are describing the color of your eyes.. then wow... :)

I don't have a decent camera to take eye pictures right now! It looks like mine are similar to Bean Water's. Very light blue around the outside, with a burst of gold in the center. They most often look greenish, but can also look gray, blue or even hazel, depending on what colors and make-up I wear.

I'm having bad allergies right now, which is making my eyes kind of red. It really brings out the blue. When my allergies are bad my eyes look bright turquoise, which I think looks awsome. Why can't they be that color when I look healthy?

My eyes are the exact same color as my dad's. My mom jokingly calls them plaid.

My eyes are the same way...the color changes a bit depending on what color clothes I wear (shut up, I do wear colors other than black sometimes), or my makeup. I think yours are more green than mine though. :)
