when you see those TRUTH commercials, or the Above the Influence commercials......do they make anyone else want to spark up thier preferred smoking substance? I'm just curious if this happens to anyone else. Because that "Magical Amount" commercial makes me wish I was stoned, because that shit would be funny....but in addition to that....it makes me want a cigarette.

I don't like TRUTH cause it's funded through tobacco companies through the government and doesn't give sources. Above the Influence I'm pretty sure doesn't do sources either from what I know.

I'd rather see the government giving out neutral information on drugs like they eventually did with sex, but then again, sex has nothing to do with taxes..

I remember reading some sort of psychological analysis of these commercials that claimed that they contain language and images (although very subtle) that induces smokers to want to smoke.

Makes sense, considering the funding source.

Truth commercials should be called "A Small Portion of the Truth"

What they say is easily researchable to confirm it... but they don;t want you to do that. They want you to focus on that one small piece of fact that they are telling you without you realizing it's a small part of a much larger study.

Have you ever read how deaths are calculated? Say you have One, count it, One cig your whole life... you can be counted as a cigarette related death if you die of any form of lung condition.

Did you know there is not One study that proves that second hand smoke is worse than smoking? In fact, not one that says with any certainty that it's even bad for you, but we are back to how they calculate deaths... if you die... and have never smoked but they can show you at one time were exposed to cig smoke and you died of a lung condition.. you get counted as a death by second hand smoke.
