Dubh Aingeal Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Various artists are considering lawsuits in order to press for their share of the estimated hundreds of millions of dollars the RIAA has obtained from settlements with services such as Bolt, KaZaA, and Napster. According to TorrentFreak's report on the potential action, there may not even be much left to pay out after monstrous legal fees are taken care of. The comments from the labels all claim that the money is on its way, and is simply taking longer due to difficulties dividing it all up.

jadnifer Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Well, obviously, the artists should get the percentage that they would normally get from regular record sales. For example: Say the record company got 400 million and they have an artist that is supposed to get 10% royalities. I think that figures out to be.....4 million dollars. If that's wrong I apologize, my brain isn't completely with me today..but you can see where I'm going with this. They deserve their share of the lawsuit monies.
