Another Car Bites The Dust...

I crashed mine on the way to pick up the girls. Wasn't going very fast... but not quite slow enough, on a corner in my ex's neighborhood. Turned the wheel and the car pretty much went straight... up over the curb and into a tree. POW!! Airbags deployed and burnt my wrist a tad. Pretty sure they'll total the car since it's not worth a ton, which is sad since it was in nice shape. *sigh* On top of that I got a ticket. *SIGH* I'm worried about getting another car because my credit is crappy.

On top of that, there's a problem with my gas at home... No heat right now.

It could have been much worse. At least every one is alright, your daughters weren't with you and no one was seriously injured. Things always seem to happen when we least need them to be happening, that is certain. Things have a way of working out for the best usually as I am sure they will in this case. Yeah, never ask if it can get any worse

It could. But you know that. I have memories of that Focus ... it will be missed. I'm very glad your okay though.

The roads were NASTY yesterday when the snow started coming down faster than the road crews could keep up with. I was out in it until I picked the kids up from school and almost got hit quite a few times. Everyone (including me) was sliding everywhere. Lots of people I seen slid right into other people.

Technically, he's correct. I failed to maintain control of my vehicle. If I had been going slower I would probably have been ok. Slower would have meant like 10mph... I was going maybe 20. Not fast in the scheme of things but just fast enough.

snows a bitch. its worse here as it happens so rarely people just dont know what to do and drive like its an average sunny day and the idiots in 4x4 vehicles who bought them to polisgh on the drive end up clogging the roads when the driver panics and gets stuck. and when the bus services slide down the hills, its funny watching all the passengers rush to the back

It's SO hard to gauge those things. Even 5 mph can make a small difference depending on how much ice and snow is out there. Well you lost your car, but luckily you saved your life .

Sorry to hear that Marc. I am glad that you're ok however. On the way home from the club last night I saw at least 4 people hit the median and then just straighten back up and keep on going. It was crazy!

Check out 1-800-barnone. They say they can get anyone credit for a car. There is also a couple of used car lots, actually it's 1 company with 2 lots, one on 8 mile, another on 7 mile. They claim they will finance anyone. If I see their TV commercial, I will post the name. Can't remember it at the moment. Gonna be checking them out soon since it looks like I will be junking the 92 Caddy I was trying to get on the road. Also there is a place at Allen Rd and Pennsylvania that says they will help anyone. I believe it's called Georgfe's cars or George's used cars.

I slid in bad weather once and wrecked on a curb thing and they didn't do anything....I thought you had to cause damage to something other than yourself......either that or I just had a nice cop and you got a heartless ass.

My parents have bought a couple cars from a dealership by their house (their real house, not their motorhome they chose to live in). They finance anyone with some cash down (cash down varies on the vehicle and credit) ... higher interest rates for bad credit ... but the cars they have had were really decent. The Malibu I had originally came from there. My Mom bought it a few years prior to me getting it.
