Indeed, the postal system was designed for commerce, NOT for advertisements. Seriously, I think part of the reason letter carriers crack up every once in a while is because most of the stuff they deliver is useless. To go in, day after day, knowing that your labor makes the lives of other people that much harder... that has to grate on a soul.
