Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer! He has always taken such good care of himself. I hope that he pulls through this. He is a great actor and has a beautiful wife that I'm sure would miss him VERY much.

Unfortunately with cancer, when it finds a source of blood to flow it throughout the body, you're pretty much fucked.

The pancreas has a direct link to a blood source. It (the pancreas, in it's function) releases insulin into the bloodstream. If you get cancer of the pancreas, it probably released the cancerous cells into the bloodstream via the way it releases insulin, and he pretty much can count the days till it infects the rest of his body.

My thoughts go out to him and his family. It's really sad.

Pancreatic cancer.. most people don't pull through with this type and it usually goes from bad to death within a matter of months.

No, it doesn't care. Sometimes I suppose that no matter how well you take care of yourself, you may still get it. Genetics and heredity also have a lot to do with it.
