It is with great regret that we have to announce that after 9 years Music Non Stop has now officially stopped trading. Despite our never-ending efforts over the last 12 months, and a concentrated attempt to soldier-on in some form or another in the past weeks, it has regrettably come time to call it a day.

There are a number of factors that have resulted in this sad conclusion, some of which include the current exchange rates of the Euro and the dollar against the pound, the lack of consistent ‘big name’ releases in this scene, increase in distributor and day to day running costs, and other methods now available of obtaining new music, to name but a few. We have always tried to deliver the best for our customers and have always put them first from day one and set high standards for ourselves. We have also tried our best to push and promote smaller labels and bands to try and help them get more exposure. We hope that in the time that we have been trading we have provided a service most people have been very happy with and we are just sorry that we are unable to continue. As a result we sadly have to report that all outstanding orders have had to be cancelled as we are unable to fulfil them. We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause. Unfortunately we are unable to answer any emails on an individual basis. Paypal customers please contact Paypal with regards to a refund.

Finally - and this is the most important bit - we would like to thank ALL of the real music fans and customers that have supported MNS over the past 9 years (WE and YOU know who you are ), The labels ( especially Out Of Line & Trisol ), The Distributors ( especially Audioglobe ) and the friends ( especially the Infest crew and Bernard and everyone at Side-Line ). You are the people that have kept this scene alive and will continue to do so.

Thank you and we wish you all the best.

MNS

This is unfortunate. Myself as well as a number of City Club DJs used to order from MNS quite often. Sure there are other sources to order music from but these guys were knowlegdable, fast with shipping and often times carried a selection of products you just couldn't find in the states.

PLEASE think twice before freely downloading something and make efforts to purchase products if you like them and want to support the artist/mailorders.

That's sad they had to shut down. This economy sucks, the recession that's upcoming. It's hard to tell people to not download music and buy it when they can't even eat. You can't eat a CD, well not without having to call an ambulance shortly thereafter.

I'm not saying people should pirate, but in this day with the cost of living, it's hard not to.

they are in the uk, their economy is no where near as bad as ours.

cd's are the vinyl of this generation.

not so far down the road artists will be doing digital only releases.

it's not just the independent music scenes that are feeling this, major labels, etc are taking the hit too.

plus most of the stuff that's coming out in the ebm, goth, etc scene is lackluster or filler.

if you take a look at the "goth, industrial, ebm, etc" dj market, most dj's in that scene use laptops to dj, using programs like traktor or virtual dj. granted this takes away any inkling of skill involved with the art of djing, but thats the way of the future/now.

what's interesting in vinyl is still alive overseas via the techno, etc & indie rock scene.

cd's are an endangered product, vinyl at least has charm and the much better sound quality to keep it around.
