Dgn Upgrade In Progress

We are in the process of upgrading the DGN forum software and picture gallery software and fixes several bugs that are an issue for some users. Most of the changes are back end changes that will help the board run a bit smoother and suck down less bandwidth. There will be some visible changes but most should be unnoticeable by all but the more hardcore users.

I'm guessing it will take maybe 2 to 7 days to get it done fully. In that time there may be minor glitches that I'd like to hear about, but until its actually "done" the glitches will be hard to troubleshoot.

Regular usage of DGN should not be impacted much , but will be slow at times during larger parts of the update. We have a lot of custom things on DGN , such as the pictures at the bottom of the front page and the "my gallery" link under user-avatar pictures that may not work until the update is completed.

The basics of it are easy, the devil is always in the details. Please feel free to report any obvious problems or even new features that you notice.

Upgrade canceled. The grapevine informed me that there is reason to believe (as of sometime over the weekend) that are newer versions of both IPB gallery and IPBoard coming soon. The 30 hours of work to do the upgrade now and then do it again afterwards is not worth the trouble.
