Yes indeed. Me and my oldest daughter (she's 9) both do. :) We've already been there 4 times this year so far.

We did CoasterMania's extended ride time with aceonline.org on the 6th of June. It was awesome. We rode rides with NO LINES until about midnight ... they opened up a bunch for us after the park closed. They opened them up at 6 am too that day, but we weren't there in the morning.

More info on CoasterMania that happened this year:

It happens every year. :) Google it, there's tons of "reviews".

So with less than a week left before the big day, I must ask, how many of you guys (yes, you, behind the keyboard lurking around this post...you can't fool me :p), are going pretty much for sure? Just outta curiosity.

*Where will everyone be? Is there any main meet-up point?

*If people are just kinda milling around in smaller independent groups, can I hang out with anyone?

*Any chance of carpooling with anyone from Downriver?

Due to my undying love for uhmm everyone basically, anyone and their brother can come hang out with me at any time. Unless of course I explicitely state you're a douche....in that case, then you'd be a douche and I ain't yer friend. But you're aight, obviously not on my douche list .

As for carpooling though, I'm not sure how many are going in my car. I can find that out later and let you know. Also gotta figure out how far outta the way you live (I'm up here in Clinton Twp)

I would so drive down in a parallel universe where I could get the time off of work, pay for gas, and stay the weekend!

You'd have to drive my car. You have a lease ... stupid miles.

I'd like to go but (mildly) due to health issues and (mostly) due to $$ issues its unrealistic. :crybaby:

What do tickets cost these days? Last time I was there was the turn of the century and it was a king's ransom back then. Would love to go, but doubt if I'll be able to...

I mean we are at full capacity for seats my Hyundai can fit 5 people (4people comfortably) so we can't really take anyone. Sorry :(.

We don't have a particular meeting spot. But trust me I'm sure we will be running into people left and right as soon as we arrive. I'm sure if you can make it we wouldn't mind you hanging out with us. This whole trip was meant for us to mingle and have fun with each other. I sure hope so that there will be a LOT of us going, the more the merrier.

There are a bunch of $8 off coupons floating around out there.

You can buy them in advance at Meijer and they are cheaper or if your a AAA member, you can get them at nearly all offices the same day at these prices:

I'm far from you, but assuming you take 75 down I'm really close to the freeway, so it wouldn't be too far out of the way, 10 min at most to get off, get me, and get back on. I'll pay half the gas money down even if there are more than 2 people in the car - I just want a ride. :D If you think you might be able to, let me know. I'm way south of Detroit, but hey, we're going further south, hey? :)

where abouts you live i might be able to help u out

Hey any chance you might have an extra seat? I live just off 75 so even if I'm far as hell from you (probably am), I should still be on the way to CP. Probably no more than 10-15 min to get off the freeway, to my house, and back on - I live pretty near the exit. Let me know if you have a seat. I'll pay half the gas even if there are more than 2 people in the car - I just want a ride! :)

ALERT:

Sorry to be the bearer of BAD NEWS for our CP CREWS....

The weatherman says Sandusky Saturday will be "high winds" & "severe thunderstorms."

Now obviously I'm not afraid of getting wet (heehee).

But I AM a hardcore coaster enthusiast. And when things get wet or windy (like it is forecast for all of Sat) they shut those rides DOWN.

I'd love the company but would be severely bummed about the park. Don't mean to poop the party, but I may back out if the forecast stays the way it is.

Thoughts?

I've been down there with threatening storms before. The nasty ones that flooded Indiana. They never hit Sandusky, as it was expected they would. The rides were shut for a 5 minute downpour, but immediately re-opened when it dried out (which was pretty darn quick, I'd say 10 minutes tops -- it was a good 85 degrees outside) ... and because the storms never hit, most people went home and we had virtually no lines all day.

You never know what the weather will really be out there the way it's situated sometimes stuff just blows right over or by because of the lake. You just gotta take your chances out there.

Thank you Fin for the bad news lol.

Ok so I was thinking ... we will go either way. Unless it says hurricane and tornado.. like Rayne says it blows over very fast. So I will check the forecast tomorrow and see were we stand. ^_^ HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE!!!!
