Does China Deserve To Host The Olympic Games?

This troubles me that the Olympics are going to be held in China for a couple of reasons.

As far as I know, it is a huge honor for a country to be able to hold the Olympics. Now because of this reason, I don't think that China deserves to hold them. Okay, first they poisoned pet food. My cat could have DIED. Many people's animals DID die. Now they are putting lead into children's toys, that could potentially kill people here. Where in there says that there should be given an honor such as this one? It just bothers me a LOT!

This upsets me...I really don't have much more to say on the subject.

Laugh or shake your head if you must, but I am kind of ignorant on this subject. What happened in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Germany hosted the Summer Olympics.

I posted before the reasons I don't think that China deserves hosting the Olympics. Now, as a proud Greek, I am going to post why I feel that they should host them.

The Olympics are sopposed to transend War, Politics and Religion. Wars have been stopped so that people could play in the Olympic games. The Olympics are a celebration of the Human body/Human Condition. It's not about countrys and lines on a map. It's not about A person, striving to be the best in the world. It's about compitition in it's truest form. It's about a runner making a 26 mile run... and doing it better than they ever have. It's about pushing what it is to be.
