Don't buy it. That's what I do. You really should read my thread on feedlot meat.

It's up to us, the consumer, to change the market. It's called supply and demand. If we stop buying unethical products and buy ones that are ethical that oh-god-NO cost more money then the demand for unethical products will go down and supply for ethical ones will rise.

I've noticed that we live in a country where we value material goods more than the comfort and well being of other people/creatures and I'm sick of it. Something needs to change, I don't understand how society thinks people are better than animals when we're on the same level as them, behaviorally speaking.

It's up to us, and nobody else.

Its almost impossible to buy anything thats made here,almost everything is made overseas,unless you can live off the land and make your own things,clothes,furniture,etc,etc,etc.

The problem I see with your logic is that WE are not the only ones that buy these products. Most of thw rold does.. and if nto these products, some other product just as bad. The USA could stop buying the stuff, which would just make it cheaper for Europe.

It's sad that most of our products that are purchased here are made in another country. What's even worse than that is the fact that innocent children have to suffer so that we can enjoy those products.

In some cases being a slave in the chocolate, coffee, tea, or diamond fields actually gives people (children) some value (other than for rape purposes).

Their society is much different from ours (in many cases we would not recognize it as a society at all)

No, I do not have any answers for what to do... and no I am not going to spend 3 times as much for chocolate to ease my conscious (since in many cases the fair trade/ unfair trade commodities are mixed up any way once they leave the fields in the third world.... people tend to lie their asses off when money is at stake)
