We can talk about gun violence, we can talk about the rights of the individual versus the rights of society... we can go back and forth over whether or not Virginia Tech would have been different if it were an armed campus... We can talk about a lot of things. Just... don't speak the name of the man that did this to us. Please, don't give him that power. Or disagree with me on that point. Tell me why I am wrong, it's ok. Just... please, think of who these people were, if just for today.
Jadis Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I remember that day. We were all glued to the tv's in the lobby.... it was very sad. My heart goes out to their families and friends....
Destroit Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Everyone needs to remember things like this so we can try to keep in mind people who may act out in violence, and try to help them so as to prevent things like this from happening again. We as a society forget things like this so quickly.
Shade Everdark Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I find it amazing that it's been one year already. ...I'll be dead before I know it...of old age.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 ...I'll be dead before I know it...of old age. I hope and prey thats the case for everyone I know ... the old age part.
ttogreh Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 st_masey, I would rather be overcautious and wasteful of school time than complacent and reactive to a school shooting. We need to take these things deadly seriously. Ugh... school shootings are awful heaped on horrific...

jadnifer Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I cannot believe that it's already been a year. It is terribly sad and horrific that we lost so many innocent people. They will forever be in my heart.
