When I was younger, the girl that I used to be friends with decided that she was going to go on a diet. At that time, I was fairly thin, so it was no big deal. At first I encouraged her, but then, she was getting close to being thinner than me so I would make little comments about how an outfit looked bad on her or how she looked bloated. I felt threatened, so, being the immature person that I was back then, I had to tear her down.

I see someone driving down the street in a brand-new car, while the belt tensioner on my 1995 minivan squeals, "POOR PERSON COMING THROUGH!"

And I hate the person with the new car.

ALL of the people with new cars.

Every time I see a local electro band and they are doing well and kick ass... I am full of envy

Seeing photographers with nicer equipment is usually an instant trip to envy-land.

i really don't envy people. i know that sounds like a lie, but it's not. i really don't get jealous or envy other people.

i might wish i was more outgoing like some people i know, but i wouldn't really say that is envy.
