This thread is bad news, IMO. Why have a thread based soley on negativity? Just askin...

Who said it was based solely negativity? I certainly didn't. Some of the things I want to say to people aren't negative.

If you ask why we have this thread, why have any thread at all since ANY of them can take a turn for the negative.

You can say it. Just depends on WHERE you say it. Its a key sign of maturity within the human community. We all have to be self-policing to some degree its part of the social compact of humanity.

We enter into a social compact whenever we go by default. Some compacts are stated, others are implied. The ability to not run our mouths is harder than the ability to have diarrhea of the mouth.

All communities have order, order by necessity requires some restrictions on behavior. True anarchy is cute, but never existed and doesn't work, and indeed is not even possible in its purest form.

I don't go over Joeblow's house and tell him i think hes an asshole in his own house (unless i'm a child or child-like). But i could say Jowblow an asshole in a different context. On my own website, on some street corner, in the context of my family or some such.
