People come up with the most stupid ideas and excuses to raise oil prices. That is almost as bad as the airlines charging for extra foot space now.

Inflate your tires, plan your trips, and just... not think about the macro-economics. This has all happened before. Gas prices are pretty much right where they were at their high in the early 1980s. Trust me, with advances in cellulose ethanol, 150+ MPG cars, algae derived biodiesel, plug-in hybrid cars...

There is going to be a MASSIVE oil crash. I mean, it won't happen overnight, but oil will stop being such a big part of the economy.

China and India will have their industrial revolutions. It will just be largely powered on coal, wind, sun, and soil.
