Police Say Florida Boy, 7, Stole Suv And Left Path Of Damage

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Police say a 7-year-old South Florida boy faces grand theft auto charges after taking his grandmother's Dodge Durango for a joyride. The eight minute trek left a swath of damage in his Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood Friday. The boy smashed mailboxes, hit parked cars and signposts. He was unhurt.

Police said he literally drove until a wheel fell off. The right front wheel, to be exact, which broke off after the boy hit a sign.

The boy's mother said he apparently grabbed the keys to his grandmother's sport utility vehicle, backed it out of her driveway, and took off.

Police spokeswoman Ellen Lovejoy said the boy is unlikely to be prosecuted. They arrested him so he can get some help, noting the excursion was "unusual behavior for a 7-year-old."

Yeap. Same with stuff like "bipolar", which I'm starting to think is another fad syndrome. It's called "get the right fats in your diet so that your nerves which are covered in FAT to function will work".

As far as bi-polar is concerned..... that one, its a little higher instances than you might think where meds are necessary. A very dear friend of mine is recieving treatment for that (bi-polar manic-depressive), which she very much needs.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again,ther is no cure in a pill,I never trusted most anti depressants and never will,ritalin IMO makes kids worse than they were before,I knew someone that was on that and saw the effects of what it does,will not go into details.

AMEN Girl!!! I get so fusterated with my friend who said her kid has this and that and this..... iv watched her ask him 10 times to do something and he sits their watching the tv ignoring her like she never said a word.... Till I jumped up and shut off the tv and said son your mother is talking to you...... I was Hot.... My kid got introuble at school around thinksgiving for playing around in the bathrooms to where the school called me to come get him... i was so pissed I went home and pulled everything but his bed out of his room...... my kids know I dont play.......
