Guest GodfallenPromos Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Ok...I understand why the song was done, and I highly respect the band taking such a personal issue such as suicide and turning it into a driving force. I think thats one of the greatest things about music. With that said....does anyone else think that the song would have been better had it been done by Korn? It jsut seems to me that the beat, subject matter, maybe even the amount of pauses in the vocals...just has a more of a Korn feel then it does Disturbed. I feel it's missing the energy that Disturbed has been known to bring to their work, such as "Prayer", "Stricken" and even the cover of "Land of Confusion". I understand trying to change a path in the way your music sounds, but thats not always a good thing. I just hope that the ENTIRE albumn isn't missing that signature "Disturbed" feel that the rest of their albumns have.
Hellion Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I like the song, very different from their past stuff, and yes I am anxious to here their other songs on that album.
Fin Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Personally, I would like to hear KILLSWITCH play this song.

Slept with ghost Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 I think any disturbed song could be better if done by another band. and much much better if the songs were never done at all.

Maybe, but both bands are absolutely terrible, so I would think it would sound bad no matter what.
KainRich Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 After the drive home from the local music store, i had already realized that i had just wasted my money. I used to somewhat like Disturbed. Thier new album is soo bland..I never intended to purchase it until one of the employees suckered me into it. I thought to myself "hey, their first album was pretty decent, maybe this one will be good too!". lol fooled again
