Homicidalheathen Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 http://www.washingtonlife.com/issues/2005-...batim/index.php My friend said he heard tsunami volunteers were unchecked predators a lot of the times, and went there to molest......not help. I was looking for the story when I found this..... KT: So you're essentially saying that molesters can participate live in a rape via the Internet? PA: Yes. Child molesters can watch actual live feeds of infants and children being raped. At the same time, a chat room runs where people can make requests of what they want to see. Today, you have more and more people actually participating in these kind of crimes, rather than just viewing it after the fact. KT: Who watches child pornography? PA: The molesters are mostly white upper-middle class men. This type of crime requires two things: time and money. You need money to buy the technology, create these images on the Internet, and you need the leisure of time. This demographic has both. http://www.lankalibrary.com/news/daniel.htm http://www.childwise.net/downloads/newsletter_june_2005.pdf ..Two more stories of such.... I am not for the national ID act, but if you had to get a passport to go volunteer, and your name came up.....maybe you would not be allowed to go.......? Its people like this that make things bad all around, for everyone. In light of the recent cyclone....something should be done so volunteers are checked better when they go to 3rd world countries to volunteer aid.
Homicidalheathen Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 The Australian Federal Police operate a 24 hour hotline enabling us to report concerns of any Australians sexually exploiting children overseas. In April, the Minister for Justice, Senator Chris Ellison confirmed that up to 20 convicted child sex offenders were prevented from travelling to Indonesia and Thailand following the tsunami thanks to a national sex offender register which follows their movements. Increased awareness is supported
