The "or movie" part makes it hard. But....

Book: The Stand, by a wide margin. I'll admit I've only read like 6 by him and none of the stuff after about 93'.

Movie: The Shawshank Redemption (Stand By Me, Misery and The Shining being alternates)

Hes got a ton of good stuff though, much of it not in the "horror" Genre.

Book: Its a toss up between the Shinning ( Which I read all in one night because I COULDN'T sleep LOL) and the Gunslinger( the first of the DT series). Lets just say I wanted to be Roland when I grew up!

Movie: Carrie. Hands down. ( I would have loved the shinning if they wouldn't have changed the end).

Im not a big fan of his movies, but The Green Mile was my absolute fave. and, Shawshanke redemption

I HATE the Shining (book).. i wasn't impressed at all... well, it was okay.. till the last 5 chapters of the book... i won't waist another few hours of my life to watch the movie...

Books:

The Dark Tower Series 1-5 (if there are more, i haven't read them )

The Green Mile (I balled through most of the ending.. hard to read through tears....
