It varies but usually Bryan Ferry, or Roxy Music. Zeppelin and Sabbath are also great then too. :)

Pretty much any song that doesn't have the words "happy," "shiny," or "sunshine" in the title. I'm not that picky when I'm down.

There are some bands whose music is so whiny it can actually make me feel depressed, though, when I was feeling ok before.

Elliott Smith pretty much does it for me no matter what mood I'm in... Depressed, happy, sad, excited, etc... Different ES songs for different moods..

Now if I'm stressed and feeling really worn down usually punk or psychobilly put me in a better mood.. Something about those fast hard beats that don't really leave to much room to think about anything else but the music....
