Msterbeau Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Depends. Some days I let the music go with the mood, other days I'll play something more upbeat and happy to try and get out of my funk..
phee Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Godflesh Tangerine Dream Skinny Puppy Vangelis Steve Roach Helmet Delirium
wingdazrael Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Elliot Smith Rufus Wainwright Ben Harper Morrissey The Smiths Tom Waits Jeff Buckley The Dresden Dolls
Rev.Reverence Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I listen to music...I am far less picky when depressed than I am when I am not depressed..
Morbid Side Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I don't know. I would have to say Staind has some pretty downer music.
Miranda Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 It varies but usually Bryan Ferry, or Roxy Music. Zeppelin and Sabbath are also great then too.
EnViOuSPoPpEt Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Guns N Roses The Cranberries Alanis Morriset The Cardigans
elektrosonik Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Assemblage 23 - Damaged, Tried God Lives Underwater - Tricked Gravity Kills - Down Hate Dept - Little Let Down Nine Inch Nails - Burn, The Becoming, The Great Below Stabbing Westward - Why
TygerLili Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Pretty much any song that doesn't have the words "happy," "shiny," or "sunshine" in the title. I'm not that picky when I'm down. There are some bands whose music is so whiny it can actually make me feel depressed, though, when I was feeling ok before.
phee Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Some songs in paticular: W.I.T.I.A.K. - X-marks the Pedwalk Descend - Fear Factory Slateman - Godflesh F862 - Doubting Thomas Dial Out - Vangelis Yellowstone - Tangerine Dream Worlock - Skinny Puppy Since We Are Away - Steve Roach

Marmee_Noir Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Elliott Smith pretty much does it for me no matter what mood I'm in... Depressed, happy, sad, excited, etc... Different ES songs for different moods.. Now if I'm stressed and feeling really worn down usually punk or psychobilly put me in a better mood.. Something about those fast hard beats that don't really leave to much room to think about anything else but the music....
