And so far this months vet bills = 500 smackeroonies.

I tells ya, this dog is only 5 lbs. That is 100 bucks a pound of dog flesh! And some of it not edible!

(yes I have had the dog meat taco...it was pretty darn good too)

So I told her, that dog would become a expensive chalupa in no time around me...

My mom told me she never heard of this in her day.

We had a Golden Retriever years ago. We got him somewhere around 1993 ... he had epilepsy. He died about two years ago. He was old ... his vet bills were through the roof. It happens.

It's not that it hasn't existed. It has always been around. Dogs have always had these issues. The rate of them has just increased because of irresponsible breeders trying to make as much money as they can breeding dogs way too much, causing an increase in the medical issues.

For instance, Chihuahua's and water-on-the brain. It's always been an issue. It was usually just an issue for the runts of the litter who were smaller than the others. Now irresponsible people are intentionally breeding dogs to be smaller now, causing an increase in the medical conditions that were once rare.

My dog has back issues cause someone let a Springer spainel mate with a pit bull...the butt is waaay to high.

We thought kids had rode him but I guess its the breed.

Anyone know a way to get this tiny dog to eat its pills? She is tired of forcing them down her throat. Right now cheeze whiz is working but eventually she like SENSES these pills and won't take them. No matter what we tried. It works for awhile then she finds them and stops.

Things must have uncanny senses or something.....the pills are kinda big for such a tiny thing....my dog never even chews he is so big...he just inhales his food, its funny.

Part of this is because people don't take proper care of their dogs, not taking them the vet when they should, feeding them crap and not making sure they get enough exercise.

God tell me about it. My buddy who I got my dog from takes him for weekends sometimes and treats him like a grandkid......buys him a fast food burger and toys......then when I get him back he ACTS like a grandkid.....spoiled rotten for a few days and won't listen. Ugh.

When we first got our older dog, he wouldn't eat anything but cheeseburgers. It took us quite awhile to get him on a dog food he would eat because he had been so spoiled by the cheeseburgers.
