China Better Hope This Dam Did Not Get Dam-aged

This is probably one of the largest dams ever built by anyone,since the earthquake,about 15,000 ppl are dead or missing.

They said several dams were damaged but they never mentioned anything about the Three Gorges Dam.

and it does sit on a fault line

The dam is not real close to where the earthquake was (from what I remember it is about halfway between Chengdu and Shanghai), but maybe close enough to get a little damage. The earthquake was centered outside of Chengdu, a city in the center of the country, but people felt the earthquake all the way up in Beijing. Lots of people have been buried alive, it's really terrible.

I was in China over the summer and it's a beautiful country, I feel really bad for everyone having to deal with the aftermath.

When I lived in Florida, I met several people from China. I haven't been able to contact them, but I hope they're all alright. :(

The Three Gorges Dam is another issue in itself; I remember all the controversy surrounding it while it was being built.
