Question about Factory Mondays at Necto

Hey all, quick question for y'all:

Why doesn't Necto admit anyone after 1:30am? I didn't know anything about this till last night when my friend & I drove all the way out there, making it at 1:35am, and being denied entrance, even when I told the guy at the door that it was my B-day (and showed ID to prove it!). We weren't trying to get in for free or anything, it was my B-day & I wanted to spend part of it at one of my fav nightclubs with some of my cool darkling friends who I haven't seen in a while.

Just curious what's up with the 1:30am rule? This is a first for me.

I already emailed DJ Jinx on his myspace account to ask him if he knew anything about it. I wasn't sure who to ask.

Yeah, I thought the 1:30am thing was weird also but the doorman kept telling me it was the "Manager" who specifically said "not to let anyone in after 1:30." (?)

BTW... I was there. Not a great night for them.. not a bad one either... at least as far as i could tell.

I've been going there since the ancient times. I've heard similar stories here and there, the last one i remember was a friend of mine saying he left the club to go get something, and they wouldn't let him back in as it took him (i guess) a long time to do whatever it was, it was like 1:45 and the guy at the door was not the same guy and he couldn't get back in. I've never seen this in action myself though, i can can clearly remember getting in to the club really late a few times.

That was a LONG time ago though, like 5 years. No clue about the specifics these days.

That's exactly what me & my friend said too! It was like YEESH! It's a goth/industrial club night....those always run late! Since when have you known a vampire to go to bed early??? Don't we always wait till day break??? Haha.

Does seem kinda silly, i mean if you wana pay to get into a place and then just have to leave 20 minutes early, what problem would that be for the club? *thinks* I'm guessing there must be some reasoning behind it, what that would be though is nebulous for me at this point.

To Answer your question. Michigan law states you must stop admission into you bar at 1:30 if you close at 2. As we don't have a 4 am licence we must shut our door at 1:30 sorry you didn't get in we were really packed. 800 people last night holy shit it as busy.

It didn't feel like more than 600 to me till I saw the patio area. People do seem to like to gather on the outdoor patio. I guess after dancing it is nice to be able to get fresh air and socialize outside.

Agreed about Friday nights. Haven't been there on a Saturday in a long time. And the patio at Necto is awesome! Every nightclub should have a place like that.
