I do like this type of clothing... when i get pants, i always get a band shirt to match... or a tank-top, or something...

but other than the Victorian style clothing.. i like this stuff, too... and i have recently discovered my hidden love..... anything that glows in a black light or in the dark (so i guess that I love Cher more, when she's wearing day glow yellow :p)

anyways...

Tripp NYC Clothing and Tripp Pants Illig Pants

i love the ones that have contrasting thread (if they are black) or contrasting details (if they are any other color) and I do love the solid black w/ silver accents.... :p im such a loser.. lol

surprisingly enough, sizes go higher than Large or X-Large....

(pictures wouldn't post, cuz of formatting)

Ghast Fat Bottom Rave Pants

I like these cuz they come in all kinds of colors/patterns, and i love how wide the bottoms are.

I like the Tripp pants too, I'm prolly one of the few gramma aged women who own a few pairs! My favorite pair has white satin ribbons... purchased on the HT website before they stopped carrying sizes over a 14.

Some of the DIY girlies on eBay make really cool rave pants... however you have to be careful 'cos some are definitely MUCH better seamstresses than others. Best bet, go with the ones who give details of their sewing gear/techniques and seem to know what they're talking about.

I tried on a pair of Tripp pants once at hot topic, thinking "well, I'd never actually wear these to a club, but maybe for just kickin' around the house..." Words can't describe how ridiculous I looked in them. I kind of admire women who can wear that stuff with confidence. Though I will say that they seem to look best on short, curvy or plus-sized girls from what I've seen.

I guess I'm just waaaaayyy too used to seeing myself in "girly" (romantigoth, corporate goth, lolita goth, etc.) styles to ever feel comfortable or attractive in the whole cybergoth style.

my kids just discovered they like it too...but said this makes one look like a demented cheer leader.

OMG did you read that "poem" at the bottom of the page? That has to be the goofiest thing I've ever seen... but, it IS very much in the spirit of the goofy-ass clothes... "demented cheerleader" sums it up nicely.

I have like 4 pair of Tripp pants.

Black and silver

Black and a red plaid pattern

Black and purple

and just plain black

They are handy to have in the winter when CC and Necto are cold. I have lots of Tripp skirts too that I wear in the hot weather.

I wonder why they call them 'tripp pants' is it cause you look like you were trippin when you bought them or cause they are so big you trip and fall on your face?

Cause thing 1 did that once....she got tangled in her pants and fell flat on her face in front of everyone and she was holding a full pop at the time....

Yeah.. I just look stupid in this stuff.. good for those girls who can carry it off, but it's definitely not for me. Give me my little girlie short skirts any day.. :)

Oh they stopped wearing the huge pants and now wear the little skirts but in RAINBOW STRIPE!

I shit you not I am going to get reeeal dark sunglasses here soon.

Mixing and matching rainbow stripes....!

Its not NEW really...

the rainbow stockings with toes in them...came out in the 70's.

the short skirts and stockings look...we did that in the 80's....

Now its being mixed together and recycled like everything else

Hehehe..

Those wide-leg rave pants remind me of the drawstring or velcro closure Stussys we used to wear to sk8 in when I was a teenager. They remind me of the elephant bells people wore when I was little, too.

Technically, they are pretty close to a palazzo pant, but longer. I would probably have to wear platforms with this new style, they're SO long!

i know... those pants are made for ppl who are like 5'6 or taller.... i am only 5'4....me thinks they have bungie drastring in the bottom of the pants... anyone notice how Tripp use to have bungie, now its a STRING???? and the string is like a freakin mile long!?!? pisses me off... and they did away w/ the little velcro strap on the inside of the pants to hold the drawstring up off the ground.. gawd that sucks.. i'd be screwed if i didn't know how to sew!

I'm 5 ft 4. I have four pair that fit me well.

None of mine have any kind of alterations or strings on the bottoms. A couple of them have strings on the inside waist of the pants that tie before you button them and the belt like adjustments on the sides, but I just wear a black studded belt with them to hold everything in place.

EDIT:

Looking at their site and Hot Topic's, it seems like the guys pants have things at the bottoms, the specific girls ones ... which fit much better in the upper legs and waist areas for a girls fit ... and a much shorter more conservative length, doesn't.

well, i don't like the girls pants... that, and they don't come in sizes big enough... i have worn guys pants since i decided to waer my boyfriend's clothes... (i was so small back then... :cry )

but yeah... the guys pants do have the drawstring...

the last girl pants i bought did, as well... but i have noticed that not all of them do.. i just assumed. lol :)

Naw, Tripp is just the brand name.

I own a good amount of their stuff, they don't just make totally awesome 90's pants (as I call them because in 1997 if your pants couldn't fit at least three of your friends plus you then it was like GTFO!). I have a few of their shirts and I think a dress.

I'm pissed that I wasn't 5'11" and am only a mini-beheamoth at 5'9" 'cause I'm only two inches away from being able to be supermodel material. I'd have to get a nose job, but hey, that's a small price to pay for glamour.

BUT....I will say that at 5'9" my Tripp pants are a little short on me...
