Unfortunately, what he deserves, and what he is afforded under our constitution, are two different things. We are a nation of laws, not of mobs.

He deserves punishment, but it ought to come from a Judge's gavel, not from a fist. This is not to say that I would definitely be able to restrain myself from beating someone who hurt a child... but that is beside the point.

I agree with ttogreh . I think he would have gotten his ass kicked guards or no guards. The other inmates would have found out eventually what he did somehow. A lot of folks get beaten up in prisons. It is because they are locked up with crime commiting people. In this dudes case he was probably locked up with people who did bad violent things. Although he is protected by the constitution, the constitution isnt going to stop violent criminals from beating on someone in jail especially if they are a child rapist. I think the dude is a coward and is just looking for money so that when he finally gets out of jail he is comfortable.

KARMA...

I think you hit the nail on the head with that comment.

Yeah, a lot of people get hurt in jail while the guards look the other way. It's just interesting that this a-hole is making an issue of it & getting press time over it.
