They live!

Petrified locals in the Argentine town of General Guemes are living in fear inside their homes at night after a string of sightings involving a mysterious and highly freaky ‘creature’ resembling a gnome.

”No joke” : Local teenager Jose Alvarez filmed the “gnome” on his phone when he was hanging with his friends in a poorly lit street in the town. He said that it wears a pointy hat and walks sideways like a crab.

“Suddenly we heard something - a weird noise as if someone was throwing stones,” Mr Alvarez was quoted in London’s Sun Newspaper.

“We looked to one side and saw that the grass was moving.

“To begin with we thought it was a dog but when we saw this gnome-like figure begin to emerge we were really afraid.”

Interestingly, the video cuts as soon as the teens let out a deep shreak when realizing what they are seeing. The report appearing in the Sun newspaper does not stipulate what the teens did in the aftermath.

See the freaky video here

I was wondering what Danny Devito was doing with himself these days…..

Ever hear of The Red Dwarf of Detroit ?

I love stuff like this.. heh

The Nain Rouge? I know all about him. Never saw him personally but I've had friends who live in the hood down there that have. They say he's an omen and appears before something bad happens.

I had a friend who had a friend who lived down on 6 Mile and saw a black figure jumping up and down on the hood of his car in the middle of the night. They ran outside with their gun thinking it was a neighborhood hoodlum, but by the time they got to the car the thing ran off and scurried away. It was when he approached the parked vehicle and got a look before it ran, he realized that not only wasn't it a child: it wasn't human!

The next day his house, where the vehicle was obviously parked in front of, burnt down and one of his relatives died in the fire.

Off the top of my head filled with rusty knowledge about Detroit, he's a part of a curse that the Native Americans put on the whole land of Detroit because Antoine Cadillac had taken it away from them. According to folklore the land Detroit sits on will be cursed forever and nothing can thrive there for any long amount of time except City Club (just look at the city, coincidence?).

The most that the Nain Rouge was ever sited was the week before the riots began on that fateful hot and humid summer day back in 1967. The police couldn't keep up with all the calls that were coming in about sightings, because as I said, he shows up as an omen.

He was also spotted multiple times by Detroit residents just before one of the biggest snowstorms we've ever had on record (I believe back in the 70's, don't remember the year off the top of my head) which ended up killing quite a few people (I don't remember the fatality number off the top of my head, probably around 10 people).

All of that info came from the back of my mind, I didn't look it up and haven't brushed up on random Detroit knowledge in about 3 years, so if any of that is inaccurate or downright false, then feel free to correct me.

I vaguely recall someone talking about a native American curse involving the Detroit area. Interesting.

You're joking in the part about CityClub, right? hehe. Surely they couldn't have predicted *that*. :hrhr:
