Situations have changed, and not for the negative I assure you. But for now, I will be on my own with this place until I find a suitable candidate to rent from me. I already have a thread posted in the wanted forum trying to see if anyone was interested. Its definitely a nice quiet place between Howell and Brighton in which both cities have SO much to offer. I should throw some sort of house improvement party that involves painting, and beer afterwards. No beer during as I wouldn't want my mirrors and fixtures painted over lol.

Very nice house Reaper and a very nice yard, too bad it's so freaking far away :/

Well, we finally got the appraisal back on the house and its pretty good. It was appraised at 170k and I am buying it for 138k with the 6% concessions to help with all the costs. With a little updating work, and a few years of value, this should be nearly 200k. I am probably going to end up becoming an HGTV freak.

Closing might be pushed a bit further to Friday, likely Monday or Tuesday. Just waiting on the banks thoughts and we are hoping they don't say anything about the pressure tank that needs to be replaced soon.

Love that area! Vewy nice digs indeed! A pond even!

I am finding as I get older being out in the country is waaay better than being close enough to drive to a club or some shit. Ya know?

Yeah I hear that. Its nice to stay out of the busy areas, but I mainly came out here because of the cheap taxes. But I do enjoy having an area that is big enough to have a bunch of people over. I was worried about that with other places I was looking for because of the lack of room.

Now about that Halloween party you were talking about a couple of months ago,LOL!!congrats Bro!!

Yeah I am not quite sure what the deal will be with that party yet. We are forced to put in a new pressure tank, and get the septic tank emptied out, which we are hoping the sellers will help with that cost since they dealt with the stuff themselves for a long time. I am already tight on money. But I am hoping to land a decent job that will keep me healthy financially so I can replace the carpet. But I guess I could have the party before I replace the carpet. That would probably be the smart thing to do.

Wow totally nice digs dude!

And people say/think goth/metal head banger types are a bunch of slouches...thanks for posting and proving the stereo type WRONG!!!

Well, they accepted another offer on that house so I was looking through a couple of houses today. Each has their promise in a different way. First one with the first 4 photos below:

http://www.realtor.com/search/listingdetai...srcnt=95#Detail

Built in 1965, it has a lot of possibilities esp with the outside and landscaping. Lots of room with a path to a small lakefront. Inside though needs a lot of updating but has a pretty neat layout. Would eventually need new cabinets, some flooring, and paint. Downstairs near the walkout/inlaw quarters seemed to be saturated with water so it would need a good inspection. Hopefully its just a plumbing problem. I would also have to buy appliances for the place. Also has a huge garage that can fit both the hearse and truck along with a heater to warm up the garage.

Second one with the remainder of the photos:

This one was built in 1998 and has a lot of nice attributes to it including a garage that could house the length of the hearse and my pickup. I believe it includes the appliances as well and has a bathroom in the basement ready to be finished which includes the sink and toilet.

I'm torn between having a property that has a lot of potential and nice secluded area but a house that needs work, and a house that doesn't have as much eye candy, but is in great condition and looks more plain. Going to try for the newer house first, then have the older one as a backup.

P.S....I see a goth fridge! Its black! That totally rocks.

I would think there are plenty that prove the stereotype wrong. Some of the wealthiest people have been involved in the extreme bondage and s&m scene. Others involved in the scene make really good money and have great jobs. I actually saw Patrick up at the Necto this past monday and he is making 6 digit numbers now working for IBM and traveling from country to country. That is a good example of the people involved in this scene that are doing well, as well as a friend that Odims and I knows...his sidekick in Seigemachine.

Well, the seller is in Germany for some reason. Better be a damn good reason to go leaving when you are supposed to close on your house. Now we have to setup some sort of rent so I can move my stuff in this weekend and close on monday or tuesday. Wtf!

Well, we finally have a clear on closing. Its scheduled for Sept 3rd at 4pm. I am moving my stuff into the house over the weekend and should be organized by next weekend. I also have another job working for Carter Express driving down to Laredo, TX once a week which makes good money, without overworking myself and plenty of time off, possibly up to 3 days a week on a weekend off. Be nice to have a life outside work again and have insurance at that :D

Oh and the seller LIVES in Germany because he works for Ford apparently, so that is why its taking longer because he has to book a flight. He was never in the US in the first place heh.

FINALLY. I can now let this thread die. I just moved into the house after signing a couple of days ago. Took me 2 days to get things moved around the house. Even moved some heavy furniture up 2 flights of stairs and around the house by myself to get things done heh. Going to get started on a job next week as I really need cash. So IF there would be a party, I'm not sure when it would be. Hell, I might just wait til next year. It all depends on how quickly I can get my finances straightened around.

congradulations, man! I was reading all you had to go through to get to this point. Bet it feels good... not to have the upsatirs neighbors...or any neighbors that shares walls with you, for that matter lol

so, when you gonna sanctify the house, with unholy acts? lol

Haha, who knows on that one. At least I don't have to worry if she is a screamer

Good to hear it's all done and settled finally!! Well done :D It must be so satisfying to know that you are now living in your own house. When I bought my house it felt fantastic, so you must be over the moon too :)

congrats on the house reaper! At some point I'll drop by, with some brews

Hell yeah, since I am bound in money by this house, might as well drink it up in this bitch. Been doing lots of numbers and measurements on what I want to do with this place and in what order. I think for now, I will just sit my ass down, drink a few, and watch some football and let it the entertainment system blast and shake the house. Oh wait, that is the train going by behind the house lol.
