candyman Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Wow after reading all this I feel retarded and lame. I played a piano recital once and the looked in a mirror. People keep telling me that I can come meet some band, then they ditch me, and they get back the next day with awesome stories. The one person I did meet was Jeordie White, Twiggy, when he rejoined Manson. He was watching a smaller band in a side bar at the Rave and since it was in Wisconsin I was actually allowed into a bar, OMG! I suddenly realized that one of the five people watching this lame band was actually Twiggy dressed like a witch with it being halloween and all. Really cool guy and he kinda cleared up the whole "the entire band hates Marilyn Manson" thing, ends up they don't. Otherwise, i suck. I can't seem to meet a musician that more that two people know despite my best efforts.

Reaper Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Nevermore, what a great metal band!! Did you know that the guitarist in that band is also named Jeff Loomis? That is my exact name. I have him on my myspace. I have met all of Type O Negative and Cradle of Filth. Not many others though except a few of the semi nationals.

bav Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Yeah.... When he was with Download at St. Andrews... I met him and Spyby that show as well....their tour bus blocked my car in, so had to hang out by the bus till they left. My favorite quote of that night came from Mark Spyby - Friend I was with - "What do you think the future of music is?" Spyby - "Definately techno - It has energy. All the goth shit is worn out and tired."
