Hi everyone. My name is Brian. I just became a member due to the praise of this site by my friend Angel. Anyway I thought I'd start things off right by doing a little introduction so here goes.

Age: 30

I love to read. Mostly Science Fiction and Horror. My fave authors are Dean Koontz, Stephen King and John Saul. I also collect comic books. My favorites are Batman and Buffy Season 8.

I also love Science Fiction tv and movies. For Movies I love Star Trek and Star Wars. Don't ask me to pick between the 2 because I just couldn't do it lol.

Doctor Who and Torchwood are two of my most favorite shows right now.

I know I mentioned liking horror. I'm not an uber fan of horror movies but I DO like the Halloween series and I'm a sucker for a good vampire or werewolf story. On a related note the movie Silver Bullet rocks. One of the few movies that I dig that has a hero in a wheelchair.

Oh yeah, another related note. I was born with spina bifida. I use a wheelchair 24/7 OK OK that's a lie...I don't sleep in my chair lol

I love rock music. 80's Heavy Metal is my favorite.

Favorite foods are anything pasta.

Hiya,

I'm a huge sci fi fan myself along with science more generally being a key interest. Good to have you on the board. Hopefully we'll see you online often. You might wana have a look at the TV/Books/Movies/etc section of the board in particular. :)

Definetly a lot of metal, horror and just about everything else you listed off fans around here. *points around*

Greetings and hello!

Doctor Who is the best program(me) to come out of Britain, and when you consider the likes of Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Red Dwarf, and Blake's 7, that's saying a lot.

I've watched it since I was maybe 6 years old.

Yay!! Do we have another wheelchair bound member on the board? I am too!! I'm surprised no one mentioned that yet...but anyways...

HIGH-LOW!! I'm DBK, the annoyance of DGN. I'm easy to spot at City Club, I'm the crippled kid sporting blue hair and goggles!!

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...

      Well we were supposed to leave last night, but life has a way of making plans for you. I'm about to get up and get ready to go on our vacation. Had and still have a lot to do.  Not easy to just up and leave a ranch with a lot of animals and things that need taken care of. We even have people here to watch and tend things while we're gone, but still.   I had to change the radiator in my car before we leave - got that done last night. Took a lot more out of me than I thought it would, so by the time I finished I had little energy for anything else. Today I just have a couple more quick things to do on the car, like cleaning it and packing stuff. Couple of minor things to do around the ranch today, as well.   I figure we should be on the road this evening sometime. I'm looking forward to it. We're going to see the wife's side of the family, people I actually like,  in Vegas and AZ. Should only be gone for a few days, maybe a week. Going to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead and all kinds of stuff in between, so I'm pretty stoked. I LOVE the Southwest.   Wish me luck that my car survives the desert! (Hence new radiator) 🤠👍

      Sometimes sleep can be a scary thing.  I passed out so hard at 4:54pm today.  Yesterday wiped me out with rentals, appointments and helping a lost dog get back home.  Fortunately, I found him on Facebook and contacted the owners and he was picked up before nightfall.  But I think I totally overdid it and paid for it today in the middle of handling business.  Thankfully it was some work at home stuff.   I definitely do not like being that kind of tired.  It's like the World could end and I'd wake up afterwards trying to find out what happened.
