we use SOB a lot, we mean shortness of breath, but people get offended thinking we're calling them a son of a bitch. OK, so I am easily amused at work.

P.O.S wich can either be Peice of Shit or Power of Suggestion

A.D.D Attention deficite disorder or Advance Dungeons and Dragons

W.W.F this one was especially funny since The World Wildlife Foundation had to throw a legal hissy fit against World Wrestling Federation over the use of the identical acronym.. wich honestly to me made absolutely no sense why they got upset enough to take it to court, and what was even more appauling is they actually won it instead of it getting thrown out of the courtroom like it should have. Tax dollars hard at waste!

There's a few other's I know but can't rattle them off the top of my head..

I just like these two for now since they can go either way.

One of my favorites was always TCU. It was used when taking reasons for a return to a store. It stood for Too Complicated for User. Plus you wrote it down on the return paperwork right in front of them.

I read in an old "Air Force" magazine a comic at the back... The pilot used the super secret TLAR bombing system.

TLAR = That Looks About Right - with the pilot lining up the target siting along the top of his thumb, with his tongue sticking out. :-)

Another one I like is when someone keeps cutting the corner on your lawn, and tearing it up. The technical landscaper's term for it's fix is a BFR. As in:

Homeowner -- "What can we do about this?"

Landscaper -- "a BFR should do the trick" (a big rock)

Or, there's always the tech support folks' favorite errors:

the ID-10-T error (take out the dashes, and read what it says.....)

or PEBKAC: Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair
