Post up that you're going to be at City Club on a Saturday night, 'Who's Gonna Be There?' type thread. And post a photograph of your self so members can recognize you (in that thread I just mentioned) or even better, carpool with a regualar poster like Msterbeau, Shade or someone else and you've got a guarantee to meet board members and their friends at the club.

A fun and friendly experience if you put a bit of effort into it ahead of time. Worth it. I got on this board to meet new people and go dancing. It worked. I got away from old friends who were toxic for me and made new ones. Even 'activity partners' as Friendster used to call it.
