Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 And I got this realy nice sounding girl who at first seemed really helpful. She took my name, address and phne number. She asked me to describe my problem, which was no digital service at all. She informed me there was an official outage and techs were on site fixing it. I asked about a credit for the service interuption. She informed me that I did qualify for one and said she was going to put notes on my account so that my bill was adjusted... and then transfered me to the West Palm Beach billing office... thats on the oppisite side of the damn state. I spoke with the lady there... she took my name, phone number and address... asked me what my problem was... and transfered me to the Tampa billing office. This lady took my name, number and address.. and with no warning... transfered me to the West Palm Beach billing office... This lady took my name, phone number and address.. and I told her if she transfered me to anyone else without some explination I was canceling my service. She asked what the problem was... I told her.. I even told her about the digital cable problems. She transfered me to the billing office in Sarasota... Hey, thats at least close to me. A man came on the line... at this point.. I was pissed as hell. He took my name, address and phone number... I told him everything that happened. He appoligized... and told me that there was no "official outage" for this area. He schedualed a service call for tommorrow... and credited my account a day. 15 min after I hung up with him... my service came back on.
liljrockbunny Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 We've had numerous problems with Comcast, of which we are now ex-customers. Our service was always interrupted, so we'd call for a tech who is supposed to come and check inside the house to see if that solves the problem. After missing the appointment, he would show up late to the next appointment, and determine that the problem is outside, but he would have to send for another tech to look outside. That tech would show up late (if at all), then determine that the problem exists further up the line, and that they next need to bring out a truck with a crane. Then nothing...We call again to check on the status, and Comcast would then start the process all over again be sending out a tech to check in the house. We explained where we were from the previous visits, but they insisted that they would have to start the whole process over again - procedure. This went on for several years, & thanks to their $20.00 credit if they're late, we actually had free service for a few months. Also, one of the reps stole our hammer, and we've been calling to have it returned/credited (and even submitting a bill) for 2 years now. They just suck.
